Choosing colours for the FFF Project

We have been involved the Future Fashion Factory project with AW Hainsworth and University of Leeds which is working with Yorkshire Textiles and the Creative Hub to create a new bespoke fabric based on original Jacquard punch cards discovered at Armley Mills.

The designed were developed into sample cloths from which a series of designs have been chosen. The designs are currently being woven at AW Hainsworth on their Jacquard looms and will be made into products by members of the Creative Hub and other designers.

The final products will include Flatcaps, Cushions, Bags and garments which will be displayed at the Royal College of Art as well as at an exhibition at The University of Leeds.
