CIRCULAR FASHION MODEL

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE…

At KM we are aiming towards a circular fashion model as we set out our 2025- 2030 business plan.

In todays world we all have a responsibility to minimising waste and working towards a sustainable and regenerative fashion and textiles sector.

Our new eco- herringbone collection has been so well received by our customers so we are going to build on this to go even further by researching and developing environmentally friendly linings, utilising end of stock fabrics, sustainable cloths and analysing at all of our processes throughout the manufacture process of our hats.

What is Circular Fashion?

Here are some key aspects of the circular fashion model:

  1. Design for Longevity: Creating durable, timeless pieces that withstand trends and wear.

  2. Sustainable Materials: Using renewable, biodegradable, or recycled materials to reduce environmental impact.

  3. Repair and Upcycling: Encouraging consumers to repair items instead of discarding them, as well as transforming old garments into new products.

  4. Recycling and Reuse: Implementing systems for collecting and recycling textiles at the end of their life cycle to create new materials.

  5. Rental and Sharing Models: Promoting clothing rental services and sharing platforms to reduce overconsumption.

  6. Transparency: Providing clear information about the sourcing, production processes, and sustainability practices of brands to empower informed consumer choices.

By focusing on these principles, the circular fashion model aims to reduce waste, lower carbon emissions, and create a more sustainable industry overall.
